THE ESSENTIALS How to play Find the complete hidden sequence. Repeated digits are allowed. Standard uses three positions and symbols 1–4; Hard uses four positions and 1–6; Expert uses five positions and 1–8. Exact counts correct digits in correct positions. Value-only counts correct digits in different positions after exact matches are removed; no occurrence is counted twice. There is no guess limit. The lock opens only when every position is exact. Controls Choose a digit for each position using its select control, then activate Check code. Read the previous-guesses list before making the next guess. There is no Undo because its information has already been revealed. Restart keeps the same secret and clears the guess history; New puzzle or a difficulty change chooses a new sequence. Good to know Feedback gives counts rather than identifying which particular positions matched.
This is an independent implementation of a familiar codebreaking mechanic, not a claim to have invented that mechanic.
There is no saved history or global ranking. A repeated digit in a guess cannot earn more matches than the secret contains.
