THE ESSENTIALS How to play Use every number from 1 to the number of squares exactly once. Fixed clues cannot be changed. Consecutive numbers must share a horizontal or vertical edge. Diagonal touching does not count. The trail must visit every square. It starts at 1 and ends at the largest number; it does not need to return to its start. The completed grid must agree with every clue. Duplicate numbers and currently nonadjacent consecutive entries are marked as conflicts. Controls Select a square, enter a number in the number field and choose Apply or press Enter. The number keypad offers direct entry too. Clear, Delete or Backspace removes an editable value. Arrow keys move selection; Tab reaches the number field and keypad. Undo reverses an entry or erasure. Restart restores the same clues. New puzzle rotates, reflects or reverses the numbering of a prepared layout. Good to know This independently implemented puzzle uses the established consecutive-number path idea with orthogonal adjacency only.
Each size has one independently generated layout whose clues have been checked for exactly one complete trail. Only constraint-preserving rotations, reflections and numbering reversal are used; the collection is finite.
A conflict-free partial entry is not a correctness certificate. Larger boards and different clue layouts are not a measured human difficulty rating.
