THE ESSENTIALS How to play A knight moves two squares along one axis and one along the other. It may jump over squares between its starting and landing positions. Visit every square exactly once. A square already in the trail cannot be selected again. Standard has 25 squares, Hard 36 and Expert 64. The marked starting square is the first visit. A complete open tour wins; the final square does not need to connect back to the start. Controls Choose an unvisited square that is a legal knight move from the current position. Legal choices are marked without showing a complete route. Use arrow keys to move focus, then Enter or Space to choose a square. Undo removes one move. Restart returns to the same starting square. New puzzle selects another finite rotation, reflection or reversed tour start. Good to know Each board size uses an independently generated complete tour verified step by step. Rotation, reflection and reversal preserve at least one solution from its starting square.
New puzzle draws from finite transformations of those routes, not an unlimited collection of handcrafted boards. The interface shows only your visited trail and current legal moves.
A legal move may still lead to a dead end. This implementation does not claim that every possible partial trail can be completed or that a tour is unique.
