Floor Plan turns an office tower into a physical puzzle box

A newly announced Switch release puts object interaction at the centre of its escape-room-style puzzles.

REPORTED FACTS

What was announced

Nintendo's October 28 showcase included Turbo Button's Floor Plan: Slap Out Of It!, an escape-room-style adventure set in an unusual office tower. Its announcement emphasizes physically interacting with objects while searching for relics and secrets. Nintendo lists both Switch and Switch 2 editions for spring 2027; no exact day is given.

OUR EDITORIAL PERSPECTIVE

Why the idea caught our attention

Physical interaction makes an interesting promise: experimentation can become part of reading a puzzle. Instead of inspecting an object and guessing what a designer intended, a player can try one action and study the response. The challenge is keeping that response understandable. If every object reacts differently, cause and effect needs to remain clear enough that a failed idea teaches something. For puzzle players, a useful approach is to change one thing at a time and remember what happened. We are interested in that feedback loop, rather than treating an announcement as proof that every interaction will work equally well.
